For many years now Hilla Havkin has been commissioned by Israel’s leading publishers to illustrate over 180 children’s books for prominent Israeli authors such as David Grossman, Hanoch Levin, Nurit Zarchi, Daniella Carmi, Datia Ben-Dor, Shlomit Cohen-Asif and many others. Many of these books have become children’s classics, found in almost every Israeli home.

Hilla’s mastery of an accurate and detailed style in ink and watercolor has also found expression in scientific, medical, botanical and zoological illustrations, in various publications.

For the past few years Hilla has also been commissioned to create original artwork for collections of greeting cards, stationery, note books and other paper products. These have been published and marketed world wide by Artalic, a subsidiary of A.R. Printing Ltd, in Israel.

Hilla’s fantastic imagery takes her readers, parents and children alike, into a journey where animals transform into friendly, human-like creatures, with a touch of nostalgia and a subtle sense of humor. Her illustrated characters all seem to belong to one big spunky family, even when they are from different stories.

You are sincerely invited to visit Hilla’s kingdom. You are sure to be delighted with it.

Hilla is presently searching for an art agency to represent her in the publishing market in the USA and the UK, primarily for commissioned illustration work on children’s books and stationery. She is currently represented in the USA by Tovit Lore, and may also be contacted directly.

Please contact the artist (hilla.havkin@gmail.com or +972-3-674-4449) if you wish to  acquire artwork directly from her.
